Was anyone else as shocked as I was when I heard that the Minnesota Twins clenched a playoff their division? I mean I haven't been exactly keeping up with the playoff race but I couldn't believe that the Twins won. They just seem...out of place.
"The Twins reached 90 wins for the third straight season with a 6-2 victory over the Indians on Sept. 27. 'People said we were not going to win 90 games or the division,' said Ron Gardenhire, who is the seventh manager to reach the 90-win plateau in his first three seasons and first since Davey Johnson did it with the Mets (1984-86). . 'We didn't pay attention to those people. We're pretty proud of what we accomplished. We think it's a pretty big deal."'" -ESPN, MLB News and Notes.
I say best of luck to em."

Go twins... not to be a spelling nerd (as I often spell wrong) But Minnesota is spelled with an E.

Considering the Twins lost lots of their key players this year...Doug Mientkeiwcz (I don't think I spelled THAT right), AJ Pierzinski, Eddie Guardado, LaTroy Hawkins, etc., etc....I think they did an awesome job! They're my dudes! No matter how far I move away...they'll always be "my" team.

My favorite Twins game: 2001...3 game series against the NY Yankees. Chuck Knoblauch was out in left field. People sitting on the lower deck of left field threw hot dogs and empty plastic beer bottles and cups at the yutz. I'm all about sportsmanship...but...don't badmouth our team!

Sorry about the spelling. I'm not exactly good in that subject.
