I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, not that anyone ever reads this thing but still....
There's three things I like about October. 1. The weather starts getting cooler, at least here in Houston anyways. 2.) The NFL is on every freakin weekend! 3.) Playoff Baseball.
I usually don't watch a lot of baseball in the regular season. It's too boring and too long. Playoff baseball is a different story. The fans are crazy, the tention is crazy and you find yourself holding your breath for every pitch. There are only 4 teams left to decide who goes to the World Series and who goes home cryin': The New York Yankees (which they are in there every stinkin year), The Boston Red Sox, The St. Louis Cardinals, and The Houston Astros. More than likely the Yankees will end up beating the Red Sox, like they do in every series that they play them in, and will go on to the Series. The Yankees just have so much talent on their baseball team. Jeter, A-Rod, Posada,Sheffield, and the one of the best closers in the league, Mariono Rivera. I hope the Red Sox could pull this one out, but I seriously doubt they will be able to come back after losing 2 straight and already having gone through their 2 best pitchers. Plus, I don't think that David Ortiz can carry the team on his own.
As For the Cardinal- Astro matchup, the Stros have beat the Cardinals close to every time that they have played them. After the loss last night, they woke the Astros up to let them know this ain't the regular season anymore. The Astros have had a great run, and they have a good team but I don't think they will be able to overcome the power hitting of St. Louis.
