I was doing my bible study the other day and I found this verse that really touched my heart. "I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." (Pslam 27:13). NKJV. It made me think back to times when I have been so discouraged about things, when I was so depressed by the situation that I felt like there was no way it could get better. I would have given up unless I had believed. It's so comforting to know that the trials we go through as Christians do not last forever and that good will come and we can rest ourselves in the Lord, knowing that he will bless us. I mean we have so many privledges in Christ that Christians take for granted so often. Just God giving us faith to believe is a blessing. His faithfulness to me overwhelmes me when I think about how unfaithful I can be at times, and not as faithful as He is in the best of times. It's encouraging to know that there is good in this world, that there are other ambassadors besides yourself that God has placed on this earth to fufill His purpose. Yes, I would have lost heart unless God had not so graciously granted me this faith to believe and trust, and rely upon Him.
