I thought for sure this year the Colts were going to pull it off. I mean come on with the year that Payton Manning has been having I thought for sure they would at least be able to squeeze by New England. But No. Another disapointing loss at Foxboro. 20-3. Manning didn't even have a TD in yesterday's game. When are they ever going to win "The Big One" ? And I don't think that all the blame should be put on Manning. I mean from what I watched yesterday the whole team choked with fumbles and t...

It's the most wonderful time of the year....we've waited all season.....the playoffs are here! Well, almost here. Finally, the regular season is coming to a close and the fight for the championship begins. The NFC East has been completely dominated by the Philidelphia Eagles. It's seems like no one has been able to shut down Donovan McNabb and his offense. While the AFC East has been dominated by the defending Super Bowl Champs, the New England Patriots. It's probably more than likely that t...

The Boston Red Sox finally beat the curse and won their first World Series since 1918. Who would have thought that Boston would come back to win it all when they were down in the Yankee series three games to none? Who would have thought that the Red Sox would be able to sweep the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series and on top of that winning their last game with a shut out? This will be the first World Series in 5 years that a team has been able to sweep. The New York Yankees did it to th...

This is for all the people who said that the Astros would win... I TOLD YOU SO!!!! I told you they would lose. They always lose the big one. But, I must admit they did get farther than I thought. But they didn't go to the World Series... at least it won't be a Yankee world series. I like being right.

Tonight the Houston Astros closed the gap and beat the St. Louis Cardinals in a 6-5 win. After falling to a 0-2 start in the series, the Astros returned to Houston to show the Cardinals that they were not giving up with out a fight. Houston was the only team in the MLB to have a winning record against St. Louis this year. With the help of Roger Clemens in game three and clutch hitter Carlos Beltran in game 4 the Astros were able to prove that they are a contender for the World Series. Beltran...

I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, not that anyone ever reads this thing but still.... There's three things I like about October. 1. The weather starts getting cooler, at least here in Houston anyways. 2.) The NFL is on every freakin weekend! 3.) Playoff Baseball. I usually don't watch a lot of baseball in the regular season. It's too boring and too long. Playoff baseball is a different story. The fans are crazy, the tention is crazy and you find yourself holding your breath for every...

After starting the season with 0-4 losing streak the Buccaneers decide to change things. Head Coach John Gruden announced his new starting QB as Chris Simms, putting veteran Brad Johnson on the bench. Maybe it became a wake-up call for the Bucs after losing four straight games with the offense producing less then 30 or 20 pts a game, that they needed a change. Hopefully Simms will bring a postive light to the team and start them on the path of winning.

The Houston Astros are one win away from being in the playoffs. Last night I attended the Stros and Colorado game. Most excting baseball game that I think I have ever been to, at least in a long time anyways. 6 homeruns were hit by the Astros in that one game, and a few recrods were broken too. I know the Stros have been in this playoff situation it seems like so many times, but I'm really hoping that they will pull through and win it all. I'm not even that big of an Astros fan but Go AsTrOs...

Was anyone else as shocked as I was when I heard that the Minnesota Twins clenched a playoff their division? I mean I haven't been exactly keeping up with the playoff race but I couldn't believe that the Twins won. They just seem...out of place. "The Twins reached 90 wins for the third straight season with a 6-2 victory over the Indians on Sept. 27. 'People said we were not going to win 90 games or the division,' said Ron Gardenhire, who is the seventh manager to reach the 90-win plateau in...

Yesterday was a good day for Houston fans. Not only did the Texans win, but the Astros also won pushing them further towards that wild card playoff spot. Texans were trailing the Cheifs 7-6 going into the second half. At the start of the 3rd quarter Priest Holmes rushed for a 3 yrd touchdown to put the cheifs up 14-6. Then just when it looked like Kansas City had gained momentum Trent Green threw an INT to Marcus Colman for a 102 yrd td return. The Texans went for 2 and were tied 14-14 wi...

Finally, Chris Simms got to start in his first NFL game.....I missed it. I didn't even know that Simms had played today until someone else told me, and even then I didn't believe that Johnson would be benched and Simms would get to play over Griese. What happened? I missed it. The game that I had been waiting for a yr to happen and I just had to miss it. Starting QB Brad Johson was benched and 2nd yr Chris Simms came into the game with 10:32 left in the first half. "We were looking for...

Houston Fans are getting excited. The Astros have hit a 12 game winning streak and it seems like their momentum is swinging towards that wild card playoff spot. Here's what ESPN has to say about the Stros capability to win that spot:

It seems like everyone's NFL predictions this year are all pointing in the same direction: New England. They dominated the AFC east last year with a record of 14-2 and were undefeated at home. Their defense was ranked 7th overall, and there offense 17th. In the off season they aquired RB Corey Dillion by trade and also drafted DT Vince Wilfork out of Miami. The only other contenders in the east are Buffalo, Miami and New York and from a look at their records last year, it doesn't look like the...
